The 41st Vuelta Ciclista a la Región de Murcia “Costa Cálida”-Gran Premio Banco Sabadell, to start from Los Alcázares and finish on Alcantarilla.

Los Alcázares y Alcantarilla, punto de salida y llegada de la 41ª Vuelta a Murcia-Gran Premio Banco Sabadell

The route will have 188 kilometres, and returns to the one day classic’s format. The reason for the stage reduction is adjust the race to the international calendar after being postponed last February.
The course has mixed terrains, and we can not make it public for safety and health reasons. To try to avoid huge crowds of people during the course, we will only make public the start and finish of the race, and the points susceptible of having a crowd will remain secret.
It will have different zones, featuring wind and echelons possibilities, mountain, “leg breaking” roads, and a perfect final for sprinters and classics specialists.
Having the race on the same day as others in the international calendar, in which the Giro d’Italia stands out, was not an obstacle to have some of the world’s most important teams.
Astana and UAE Emirates have already confirmed their presence. The last one will have Alexander Kristoff on his line-up, one of the main favourites to take the win on Alcantarilla.
Movistar Team, the only spanish UCI World Tour team, has also confirmed their participation. Ilnur Zakarin and Roman Kreuziger will be heading a really strong Gazprom-Rusvelo.
We are working these days to have a live television broadcasting the race, with the main intention of avoiding the presence of spectators on the roads, for everyone’s safety.
